MINUTES OF A MEETING OF TETNEY PARISH COUNCIL
Held at St. John's Methodist Chapel schoolroom on the 9th June 2022

55/22    CHAIR'S WELCOME
Cllr Lukehurst welcomed everyone to the meeting and explained the building was no smoking and where the fire exits were located. Cllr Lukehurst informed the Council of the resignation of Cllr Blagg with immediate effort. He thanked her for the time and contributions she had given to the Parish during her time on the Council. 
                                             
56/22    APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies were received in advance from Cllr McMillan, Cllr Cruickshank due to other commitments. Proposed and seconded to accept apologies, all in favour. Resolved to accept  apologies.

57/22   DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
To record declarations of interest by any member of the Council in respect of the agenda items
listed below. Members declaring interests should identify the agenda item and

58/22    MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING held on 12th May 2022
Had been previously circulated. Meeting date corrected. Proposed by Cllr Kerman and seconded by Cllr Fletcher to accept the Minutes. All in favour. Resolved to accept minutes. 
    "These be adopted as a true record".

59/22    Resident informed the Council about a complaint raised with ELDC and LCC regarding the poor provision of adult social care in the area and the poor maintenance of the social housing bungalows on Staves CT and Fourways. LCC are investigating the social care complaint and have advised to complain directly to Platform Housing association for the housing matters. 
      
60/22    TO RECEIVE EXTERNAL REPORTS
a) ELDC - Cllr McNally to chase up Councillor community grants.
b) LCC -  Be aware of scammers pretending to be from Highways dept. Highways team will give 1-2 days of volunteer time to local community projects. Cllr McNally to send Cllr Fletcher the details on how to apply. Footpath and grass verge cutting discussed. New wheelie bins for dry paper and cardboard to be distributed in September, LCC to visit schools to discuss recycling.
c) Outside representatives – 2 new football teams to play on the field from September they will have access to changing rooms and a container, committee have asked if public toilets will be open, Council expressed concern that the toilets would be left dirty with caretaker having extra work but no extra pay to clean it up. To be considered next meeting.
FOTPS summer fayre on Saturday 11th June, 2-4pm, all welcome.


61/22    Parish Council Matters - To discuss matters relating to the village. 
a) To review HM the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration. - Street parties and the Jubilee singers were cancelled due to the poor weather. Disappointingly only 9 scarecrows were made. Chapel and church events well attended.
b) To approve headstone application - Headstone for Mr L Lovesey was approved.

Discussion possibly needed to increase cemetery fees again for non-residents as current price is not deterring enquiries.
