MINUTES OF A MEETING OF TETNEY PARISH COUNCIL
Held at St. John's Methodist Chapel schoolroom on the 13th June 2024

54/24 CHAIR'S WELCOME
Cllr McMillan welcomed everyone to the meeting. He explained the building was a no smoking venue and where the fire exits were located. Cllr McMillan informed the council that Cllr Fletcher would be taking the minutes due to the Clerk being on sick leave. He also informed the Council that Cllr Joy Stocks had resigned from the Council with immediate effect and a letter of thanks had been sent. The 80th anniversary of D-Day was marked by the flying of the Union Jack and a wreath was laid at the war memorial, it was a day of commemoration, reflection and thanks to those that served.
                                             
55/24 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies were received in advance from Cllrs Winslow and Taylor due to other commitments. Proposed to accept apologies by Cllr Kerman and seconded by Cllr Lukehurst. All in favour. Resolved to accept apologies. 

56/24 DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
a) To record declarations of interest by any member of the Council in respect of the agenda items
listed below. Members declaring interests should identify the agenda item and

b) To note dispensations given to any member of the Council in respect of the agenda items

57/24 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING held on 9th May 2024
Had been previously circulated. Proposed by Cllr Anderson and seconded by Cllr Kerman to accept the Minutes. All in favour. Resolved to accept minutes. 
"These be adopted as a true record".

58/24 OPEN FORUM 
No report. 

59/24 TO RECEIVE EXTERNAL REPORTS
a) ELDC - Cllr McMillan reported that he has a £2,000 community grant fund allocation and welcomes applications from village groups. A proportion of the funding will be witheld to support the annual Christmas meal for invited members of the parish.
b) LCC - No report.
c) Outside representatives – St. John's Chapel holding a social evening with bingo on Tuesday 25th June. All welcome. Village hall committee members recently held a "clean and repair" day. New lighting, painting, and general tidy took place. Residents are still reporting climbing onto the roof despite Police warnings. The use of anti-climb paint is to be investigated. Cllr Fletcher attended the North Thoresby, Waithe and Grainsby parish council meeting as the applicant for the proposed children's home on Mill Race gave a presentation. Cllr McMillann has called the application in to be heard by ELDC planning committee, as many residents have concerns. Friends of Tetney Primary School summer fest is being held on 13th July, 12-3pm. Live music, stalls, games, bouncy castles, Viking themed entertainment, refreshments and superb raffle prizes are on offer. All welcome.


60/22 PARISH COUNCIL MATTERS
a) To discuss Scarecrow festival - Posters have been displayed around the village, in local businesses, on Facebook and the council website. Church, Chapel and WI members have all been informed too.
b) To discuss replacement of green litter bins - Proposed to purchase 3x Jubilee 110 bins and 1x Streamline bin (measurements to be checked) to replace broken existing bins. Will be sited in current locations and secured. Discussed the possibility of requesting 2 new dog bins for Holton Rd and Garcia Rd. Locations to be decided upon before paperwork can be submitted. 
Toilets - Leak from cistern reported. Plumber to be contacted. Bargeboards decaying and gutters need emptying. Action to be taken. Report of 2 lime trees on Town Rd looking unhealthy. Report to ELDC/LCC for investigation.
