MINUTES OF A MEETING OF TETNEY PARISH COUNCIL

Held remotely via Zoom on the 8th April 2021

29/21 Chair's Welcome

Cllr McMillan explained the meeting was being held remotely due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and wished everyone with symptoms a speedy recovery, and reminded everyone to stay at home as much as possible, he also wished everyone a happy easter.                                         

                                 

30/21 Apologies for absence

Apologies were received in advance from Cllr Cruickshank due to work commitments. Proposed and seconded to accept apologies, all in favour. Resolved to accept apologies.

 

31/21   DECLARATION OF INTERESTS

        To record declarations of interest by any member of the Council in respect of the agenda 

        items listed below. Members declaring interests should identify the agenda item and     

        type of interest being declared. None.

        To note dispensations given to any member of the Council in respect of the agenda items  

        listed below. None.

 

32/21 Minutes of the last meeting held on 8th March 2021

        Had been previously circulated. Proposed by Cllr Lukehust and seconded by Cllr Hill to accept the Minutes. Resolved to accept minutes. 

        "These be adopted as a true record".

 

33/21 Open Forum - None

 

34/21 To receive reports from

ELDC - No report due to being in perdah for the local elections. Cllr McMillan and Cllr McNally to chase up Hoop End planning application.

LCC -   Libraries and Lincoln castle grounds to reopen from 12th April. Cllr McNally thanked everyone for their support during his 4 year term as County Councillor and announced he will be standing again for the seat.

             Cllr McMillan thanked Cllr McNally for his hard work and continued efforts for the parish and wished him the best of luck in the forth coming elections.

Outside representatives - Thanks were received from FOTPS for the easter prize donations. 

             Village Hall to get quotes for kitchen, new changing room facilities and are looking into junior football facilities.

 

35/21 Financial report

Previously circulated. Proposed and seconded to accept finances. Resolved to accept finances.

 

36/21 Community Event

Decision to cancel event taken due to being too close to lifting of pandemic lockdown restrictions, Armed Forces weekend and Euro 2020 football tournament. May discuss holding a smaller event similar to VE Day 2020 with street party and singer touring the village in the future.

 

37/21 Parish Matters

Donation to chapel of £68 in lieu of room hire proposed, seconded and unanimously agreed. Resolved to make donation to chapel.

Cllr Fletcher to arrange for electrician to replace tree light cable in Market Place.

Clerk to ask Contractor and Jardinere to requote for clearance of mound in cemetery.

Clerk/Chairman to approach Mr Mager about cemetery extension.

Clerk to send letter of thanks to Mr Tong for clearing litter along Station Rd over the last few months.

Fly tipped mattress on Humberston Rd and 2 bags of asbestos on Tetney Lane, Clerk to report.

Pothole on Holton Rd on The Grange corner, Clerk to report.

 

38/21 Extraordinary items

Annual financial accounts completed and to be sent to Internal auditor.

39/21 Next agenda items

To discuss reopening of public toilets.

 

40/21 Future dates

Tuesday 4th May - AGM

Thursday 10th June

Thursday 8th July, in the Chapel school room at 7.30pm or via Zoom.

 

41/21 To resolve whether to go into closed session.

Council decided not to go into closed session.
