Applicable from 11th January 2024
Local Government Act 1972 Schedule 26 Section 214 – Burial fees.
Article 15 of the Local Authorities Cemeteries Order 1977

The fees, payments and sums set out below apply where the person to be interred or in respect of whom the right is granted is, or immediately before his or her death was an inhabitant or parishioner of the Parish of Tetney, or in the case of a still-born child, where the parents (or one of them) are at the time of the interment were, such inhabitants or parishioners who were on the current or previous year’s electoral roll, or children of parents whose names appear on it and are currently residing within the village (for those outside the village please see terms on non residents). |
Burial Fee £165.00
Internment of Ashes £165.00
Purchase of single grave £300.00
Purchase of double grave £300.00
Purchase of cremation plot £135.00 – single
Purchase of cremation plot £235.00 – double (up to 4 sets of ashes)

Please note non-residents will NOT be permitted to purchase burial or cremation plots within this cemetery for their own use or others use, unless purchasing for a resident.**

Grave deed transfer £70.00 – to resident
Grave deed transfer £240.00 – to resident non next of kin on suitable proof of relationship with deed holder. *Grave deeds can NOT be transferred to non-resident non next of kin*.
Refund/ repurchase -
Exclusive Right of Burial certificate to be purchased back by Parish Council at original price paid stated on the certificate/council copy.
£50 administration fee will be incurred.
N.B The Cemetery will be closed for interment/burials between 2.30pm and 3.30pm during Lincolnshire school term time. Please speak with the Clerk for details of these dates if required.
Fees are reviewed annually, please confirm fees with Clerk.
** N. B. A Tetney residential address is required to be classed as a Tetney resident, which means the name and address on the application for a plot MUST be on the Tetney electoral register in force at the time of application. This is certified by the Clerk at the time of application. An address outside of the Tetney electoral area is NOT a Tetney address for the purposes of cemetery fees.
